Email SupportOpen Folio, go to Settings โ Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you used to purchase Folio Pro. The restore is handled by Apple and is instant.
If the restore doesn't work, ensure you're on the correct Apple ID in iPhone Settings โ [Your Name] and try again.
Compression savings depend heavily on what's inside the PDF:
Try the Low quality preset for maximum compression, or Medium for a balance of quality and size.
The free version of Folio includes a limited number of operations per day per feature. Your limits reset at midnight your local time.
To remove all limits permanently, upgrade to Folio Pro via Settings โ Upgrade to Pro. Folio Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
1. Open the PDF in Folio and tap Sign.
2. Draw your signature with your finger or Apple Pencil, or type it.
3. Tap and hold to place it on any page, then drag to position and pinch to resize.
4. Tap Done to flatten and save the signed document.
You can also add your initials, a date stamp, or free text annotations.
Yes. When you open a PDF with interactive form fields, Folio automatically detects them. Tap any text field to type, tap checkboxes to check or uncheck. When you tap Done, all field values are flattened into the PDF.
1. Tap Merge on the home screen.
2. Tap the + button to add PDFs from Files, your Library, or iCloud.
3. Drag the rows to reorder documents.
4. Tap Merge to combine them into a single PDF.
iCloud sync is a Folio Pro feature. To enable it:
1. Upgrade to Folio Pro if you haven't already.
2. Open Settings inside Folio.
3. Toggle on iCloud Sync.
Your library will start syncing to iCloud Drive automatically. You can disable it at any time from the same Settings screen.
In your Folio Library, long-press any document and select Lock. You'll be asked to set a PIN for backup access. Once locked, the document requires Face ID or your PIN to open.
App-level lock (locking the entire Folio app) can be enabled in Settings โ App Lock.
No. Your PIN is stored only as an irreversible bcrypt hash in the iOS Keychain, accessible only on your device. Face ID authentication is handled entirely by Apple's on-device LocalAuthentication framework โ no biometric data ever leaves your device.
Yes. After any operation (compress, merge, split, sign, convert) you can tap Share to use the standard iOS Share Sheet โ email, AirDrop, save to Files, open in another app, etc.
No. All PDF processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in PDFKit and Core Graphics frameworks. Your document content is never sent to our servers or any third-party server.
If you enable iCloud Sync (Folio Pro), your documents are stored in your personal iCloud Drive account โ they are not accessible to us.
Folio Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. If you believe you were charged in error or would like a refund, please contact Apple directly:
The Developer is unable to issue App Store refunds directly.
1. Force-quit and reopen Folio (swipe up from the bottom and swipe away the app card).
2. Make sure you're running the latest version of the app and the latest iOS.
3. If the problem persists, email us at mrinmoy.sd@gmail.com with a description of what you were doing and your iOS version. Crash reports are automatically sent to us via Firebase Crashlytics, which helps us diagnose and fix issues quickly.
Tap and hold any PDF link or attachment and choose Open in Folio to import it directly.
Long-press any document in the Library and tap Star to pin it to the top of your list.
