1. Information We Collect

1.1 Purchase Information

When you purchase Folio Pro, we use RevenueCat to manage your subscription entitlement. RevenueCat receives:

• Your App Store purchase receipt and product ID
• An anonymous installation identifier (a random UUID generated by RevenueCat — not your Apple ID or name)
• Purchase date and entitlement status (Free / Pro)

Your actual payment is processed by Apple. Folio never sees your credit card details or billing information.

1.2 Crash and Error Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic crash reports if the app crashes. These reports include:

• Stack traces and crash logs
• Device model and iOS version
• App version
• Breadcrumb logs (what the app was doing before the crash)

Crash reports are not linked to your identity. We never call setUserID() or attach any personal identifiers to crash reports.

1.3 Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used. Analytics collection is restricted to manual events only (automatic Firebase data collection is disabled). We track events such as:

• Which features are tapped (compress, merge, split, sign, convert)
• Completion events (e.g., compression completed, export completed)
• When the paywall is shown and whether a purchase is started, completed, or failed
• File-size metrics (e.g., input/output sizes in KB) — never filenames or content

All analytics events are anonymous. We never associate events with your name, email, Apple ID, or any personal identifier.

3. iCloud Sync (Optional)

Folio Pro includes an optional iCloud sync feature. When you enable it:

• Your PDF library and documents are synced to your personal iCloud Drive container (iCloud.com.mrinmoy.pdfutilitypro)
• This data is linked to your Apple ID by Apple's iCloud infrastructure
• The developer (Mrinmoy Bhadra) does not have access to your iCloud data
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Folio's Settings

iCloud sync is off by default and must be explicitly enabled by you.

4. Document Security

You can lock individual documents with a PIN or Face ID. Locked documents are protected by:

• A bcrypt hash of your PIN stored in the iOS Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly protection
• Face ID / Touch ID authentication via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework

Your PIN and biometric data never leave your device.

5. Third-Party Services

Folio integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics — Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reporting — Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management — Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit — payment processing — Apple Privacy Policy

6. Data Retention

Crash and analytics data is retained by Firebase according to Google's standard retention policies (typically 90 days for raw events; aggregated analytics longer). RevenueCat retains purchase records to validate entitlements. We cannot access crash or analytics data tied back to an individual, as no personal identifiers are ever attached.

All local app data (documents, preferences, library) is stored on your device and deleted when you delete the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Folio is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us at mrinmoy.sd@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Folio after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
